I am a trans-disciplinary artist collaborating with somatic and
ancestral knowledge to make performance work. I am in dialogue with both
hyper-sensorial and dissociative dysphorias that pressurize interior
spaces of feeling and being. I work in service to them by attentively
giving form for these experiences to live and communicate autonomously
from the visible performing body. Forms take shape as physical actions,
sound scores, and objects, and manifest as durational performance,
experimental films, and writing. Oriented towards healing actions, I integrate sick time into my
collaborations and ensemble work, to materialize ways that sensation,
distortion, and pain become liberatory and communicable forces. Learning through a queered lens and influenced by disability,
performance making is a place for my questions to transform into
collective action.
I ask, concerned with the ways love
and violence intertwine, and to propose, a commitment to unknown places
where interiority is both ecstatic and true.
